What is Change Management?

Task of managing change is called Change Management. It is a process of transformation in individual team, organizations, personal, process, plan, and business. Managing organizational change is widely used by organizations. However, other individual change models have contributed to the current tool set for change management. Mixture of organizational and individual change management gives the effective change in the organization.

It is referred as the making of changes in a planned or systematic manner. Involving the full organization can dramatically improve the success rate of the organization. Management person should involve at every stage for control the changes in the organization.

There are number of consultant who effectively manage and control all changes in the organization, and their practices are management practices. There are numerous management consulting firms whose principals would change the management practice area.

BPR (Business Process Reengineering), Six Sigma, TQM (Total Quality Management) etc are the tool for change management. In BPR organization focuses on business process. Six Sigma and TQM is a process for improving the quality of a product or organization.

Only management and executives are responsible for organizational change. Employee does not have any responsibilities to manage transformation other than to do their best. Every person has a different strength due to their health, maturity, experience, personality, motivation, etc. Managers must manage the change in a way that employees can cope with it. Transformation must involve the people neither imposed upon the people. Whenever an organization imposes new terms or things on employees there will be difficulties to adopt. Participation, involvement openness and communication are the important factors.

Business development includes everything involved with quality of the organization. Business development planning and strategy is requires for establishing the aim of the business development. Before making any change in the organization we should take care of sales development, new market segment and new product development, turnover of the company, people, and management.
