Microsoft Dynamics ERP for Manufacturing Industries

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

Implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application is most common in manufacturing companies. If we take a look at the evolution of the Material Resource Planning (MRP) and ERP, the applications are meant for the manufacturing industry only. Later on, each and every industry has gone ahead and implemented ERP applications.

Microsoft Dynamics is one of the esteemed ERP applications in the market for the manufacturing industries. Dynamics has got all the features to fit into the manufacturing business requirements.

The core area in the manufacturing industry is production planning. Mostly all the applications strive to fulfill the needs of production environment in the manufacturing industry. Typically, production managers struggle to schedule the work orders in the production environment. They strive to get all the information starting from the machinery efficiencies, man power strengths so that he can allocate correct manpower to specified machine to complete the task according to the plan. The core issue is the reducing the lead time to manufacture a product. To minimize the lead time, the production manager has to know when the assigned work gets completed so that he can assign another work to the machine and hence reduces the idle time of the machine.

Microsoft Dynamics has got robust production management module which takes care of the all the types work orders starting from the make to order, engineer to order and make to stock etc. Depends on the customer requirement, the production manager can employ the best practices to ensure the work done perfectly.

There are several departments in the production such as engineering division, manufacturing division and subcontracting etc. The product has to reach each and every concern department and move further. For example, the engineering division gives designs and patterns and according to these designs, the product needs to be manufactured in the manufacturing department. From there, the product may go the subcontracting division to get the finishing done. The effective communication between all these divisions is very important. The internal communication flow ensures all the divisions work in a synchronized way. Microsoft Dynamics help the customer to integrate the communication between the sub divisions in the production department.

The delivery of the product at committed time is very significant in the competitive business environment. Actually, these issues affect customer loyalty. The delivery of the product on committed date will definitely improve the customer relationships. To ensure the fast delivery, the production manager can be able to track the product situation in the manufacturing process so that he can make things go faster by taking the required steps. If he does not able to track the product, it is impossible to take the further steps to increase the speed of production process to meet the dead line. Microsoft Dynamics production module with the help of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) gives you the flexibility to track the production process and ensures the delivery on right time.

Along with other features that can support managing projects and quotations, robust accounting and inventory, Microsoft Dynamics can be the best ERP application for the manufacturing industry.
